The post on Facebook reads: "Whilst out in Popley conducting door-to-door enquiries, PCSO Ollerenshaw and PCSO Wallis have come across this prickly customer in need of some help.
"With some assistance from a local resident kindly gifting us a box, our little friend now named 'Spike' (very imaginable we know), has been taken to a local vet to be looked after.
"Hopefully, he'll make a full recovery. We're sending you a big hedgehug."
