A BASINGSTOKE dog treats brand has launched a Christmas Campaign in support of Dogs Trust.

Dog Treat’s 4 U, a Basingstoke small business, has set up a campaign called ‘Give a Dog a Bone’ to raise money, and awareness for charity, Dogs Trust.

Stuart Hillman, 48, the owner of Dog Treat’s 4 U, wanted to raise donations for the charity, after receiving their dog from Dogs Trust.

Simba, a black Labrador, was adopted by Stuart, and his wife Stephanie, in February, with five-year-old Simba since becoming the brand’s lead tester.

Dog Treat’s 4 U sells all-natural dog treats, as well as toys and accessories.

Stuart and Stephanie want to ‘raise some awareness and get some donations for the Dogs Trust this Christmas’.

They contacted the charity, who were more than delighted to be involved in the campaign, where people can donate to Dogs Trust via the Dog Treat’s 4 U website or purchase a treat that will be passed on to the charity, with the minimum donation starting at £1.

Stuart said: “We have always been Labrador lovers, and most people end up in the same job for so many years. So, we thought, why don’t we work for ourselves?

“Within a couple of months of having this crazy idea, we were looking through Dogs Trust and found our lead tester Simba.”

The business also runs a ‘dog of the month’ segment, in which customers can send in pictures or videos of their pups, with the winner receiving a free fun pack, filled with dog treats.

The donations will be brought to Newbury Dogs Trust in December.
