I’m in Australia with my partner visiting his family. His mum, Susan (Brett) Curtis was talking about her best friend from school, Beryl Kitsell, who she lost track of years ago.
We’ve done a Google search and found an article published in the Basingstoke Gazette dated February 22, 2020 titled “Widow’s warning over loft scam callers”.
The widow is called Beryl Kitsell-Webber. We think it may be the same person as she’s the same age as Susan.
Susan would love to be back in touch with her. They were at Greenwich Park Central School for Girls together (1949 to 1954). They used to skip school together. She said to mention the day they met some Italian sailors - Rafael Amarto and Domenico Sanino. Beryl had blond wavy hair.
Susan’s email is susancurtis38@bigpond.com or people can email me on sallyjed@aol.com
We would be really grateful if you could pass this on to Beryl.
My mother-in-law would be so thrilled to get back in contact with her. She may come to England next year and if she does then it would make a great story to have put them in contact again after over 60 years.
