CRIME reported in Basingstoke and Deane has decreased, the latest police figures show.

In July 2023, the most recent month available, 1,158 crimes were reported across the borough, which is down from 1,165 crimes reported in the previous month of June, according to data.police.uk.

The most common category was violence and sexual offences, with 445 offences reported, which is down from 452 reports in June.

Anti-social behaviour incidents were the second-most common category, with 189 reports during the month, followed by 106 reports of public order offences.
