POLICE have seized a 4x4 which ended up on its roof after leading officers on a chase in the Woodmancott area near Popham.

Officers responded to reports of hare coursing in Woodmancott and discovered two vehicles trespassing on farmland in the early hours of Friday, September 22.

Police attempted to stop both vehicles but they made off and led officers on a pursuit.

A post on Basingstoke Cops Facebook page said: "A pursuit then ensued as the vehicles failed to stop and the suspects shone a powerful light at the Police vehicle."

Road police officers, a district patrol team, a neighbourhood team and a country watch team were all involved, along with the National Police Air Service (NPAS).
