A NEW office block which has undergone a £12m refurbishment and includes a rooftop terrace and bar is set to open in Basingstoke in October.

Arena Offices has announced that its latest project Grosvenor House, in Basing View, will launch on October 1 after being transformed from a run-down office block into an 11-storey building spanning 45,000 sq ft.

The redevelopment will offer office space ranging from three to 150 desks, designed for entrepreneurs, small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and corporate companies.

The office block has been designed by award-winning architectural practice Western Design Architects, created by Arena Office’s in-house fit-out company and finished to a ‘beautiful and inspiring working standard’ by London-based interior designers Holmes Interiors.

The new space features a light-filled reception, business lounge, meeting rooms, bench seating and work pods. It also has air con, soundproofing and plenty of natural light, creating spaces designed for conversation and collaboration.

A roof terrace and bar have been added for outdoor entertaining along with a café and gym, encapsulating Arena Office’s ethos of ‘making coming to work a pleasure’.

Arena Offices, which also opened The Square in Basing View, is now releasing complete floors for 150 desks or customised offices for smaller requirements.

Sharron Domanska, managing director of Arena Offices, said the launch of The Grosvenor coincides with the company’s 20th anniversary.

She said: “Arena Offices deliver more than office space: we provide a platform for clients to succeed in an ever-changing economic landscape. The team now looks forward to welcoming a vibrant business community to this new location and further building the economic development of Basing View.”

Sustainability is a key focus for Arena Offices, and The Grosvenor reflects its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.

The building incorporates the latest design concepts, including high insulation values, air conditioning heat recovery, rainwater harvesting, and the creation of green spaces.

The building was recycled instead of being demolished and sending 100s of tonnes of concrete to landfill.

Arena’s portfolio now totals 11 centres across the south.
