TENNIS players from Great Britain will be roared on at Wimbledon by pupils from an Overton school after special coaching prior to the tournament was organised by local housebuilder Bewley Homes.
Over 30 Pupils from Overton CE Primary school were put through their paces by local professional coach Ben Jubin, who also took time to explain the magic of Wimbledon, the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world.

Sales and marketing director at Bewley Homes, Elaine Stratford, said: “By arranging the tennis lessons for the pupils at Overton CE Primary school we aim to inspire children to appreciate the spirit of competition and take pride in our country’s sporting achievements. We believe that instilling a sense of patriotism and promoting healthy competition is important in this day in age.”
Headteacher at Overton CE Primary School, Fiona Wyeth, said: “We are immensely grateful to Bewley Homes for its ongoing support. The collaboration presented a fantastic opportunity for our children to discover the joys of tennis and prepare to cheer our British tennis players at Wimbledon.”
Tennis coach Ben Jubin added: “The children really enjoyed the coaching and who knows, we might have uncovered a future tennis star!”
