AN 'INSPIRATIONAL' leadership team at a Tadley nursery has been praised for their hard work following an Ofsted inspection.

Little Tots Nursery has been rated outstanding in its latest report, which was completed earlier this year by inspectors on Monday, April 27.

In the report, the manager of the nursery has been praised for her 'inspirational' dedication to supporting staff members and prioritising their "well-being and professional development'.

The report reads: "The manager and staff have created an ambitious curriculum, which is securely embedded across the nursery.

"They have a firm vision of what they want children to learn and why. Staff are confident and knowledgeable in the curriculum and the signs of successful learning. Children's learning experiences build their knowledge over time."

The inspector also praised the children's quality of learning within the report, which states that "children's understanding of the world around them is super' with a "vast" amount of opportunities to learn about the environment.

Staff have also been commended for the relationships they have formed with parents, which the report states are "especially strong".

A spokesperson from the nursery said: "We were absolutely delighted to get an Outstanding Ofsted at our recent inspection. We are so pleased that all the hard work, and dedication by the staff was recognised. The children were all amazing too, they really showcased their knowledge, their kindness and manners on the day.  The Ofsted inspector commented ‘Staff expertly widen children’s growing knowledge and interest’ and ‘children’s understanding of the world around us is superb'.

"We are also delighted to receive two Day Nursery Awards this year, one Top 20 day nursery award for the South East area and the Top 20 day nursery award for the small group, particularly as they are based on parent review, which is amazing."

Other things that are given credit include the nursery's strong focus on communication with staff taking every opportunity to "sing and share books with the children."

The report concludes: "All children thrive because staff have very high expectations of what they can achieve. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who speak English as an additional language make excellent progress in relation to their individual starting points."

The nursery was previously rated good and this was the first routine inspection the provider received since the Covid pandemic began.
