THERE is plenty of high-quality drama coming to The Haymarket in Basingstoke this autumn and residents are invited along.

London Classic Theatre presents Mike Leigh’s ruthless and hilarious masterpiece Abigail’s Party from September 19 to 23. In her suburban living room, Beverly prepares for the arrival of her guests. She and her husband Laurence will play host to neighbours Angela, Tony and Sue.

Blackeyed Theatre brings Oh, What a Lovely War! will be taking to the stage from October 19 to 21.

This renowned piece of work is a deliciously satirical attack on the military incompetence and inconceivable disregard for human life during the First World War. 

Rumpus Theatre Company return with The Signalman (November 9 to 11), based on Charles Dickens’ ghost story which tells the chilling tale of a faceless figure by the railway tunnel.
