DRIVERS in Andover will have 16 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And six of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that nine closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M27, from 8pm October 12 2020 to 6am June 27 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 4 and M3 both directions, junction 14, Link road and lane closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme.

• M27, from 8pm July 1 2022 to 6am June 30 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 14 to 12, link road and carriageway closures for M3 concrete barrier scheme, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• M27, from 8pm July 1 2022 to 6am June 30 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 14 to 12, link road and carriageway closures for M3 concrete barrier scheme, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• A34, from 8pm June 14 to 6am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington, Lane closures for drainage surveys.

• A34, from 8pm June 15 to 6am July 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Bullington, Lane closures for inspection work.

• M27, from 8am May 25 to 6am July 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 2 to 5, diversion route for Hampshire County Council.

• M27, from 8pm October 28 2020 to 6am July 20 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27, junction 4 and M3, junction 14 all directions, link road and lane closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via National Highways network.

• M27, from 8pm October 28 2020 to 6am July 20 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27, junction 4 and M3, junction 14 all directions, link road and lane closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via National Highways network.

• A34, from midnight, February 1 to 11.59pm December 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal Load - Swansea to Southampton.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M271, from 9pm June 21 to 6am June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M271 southbound, junction 1 to Redbridge roundabout, Lane closure for carriageway reconstruction works.

• A36, from 9am June 26 to 4pm June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Plaitford traffic lights in place for SSE works.

• A34, from 8pm June 27 to 6am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Whitchurch to Bullington, Lane closure for structural maintenance works.

• A34, from 8pm June 29 to 6am July 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Three Maids Hill, Lane closures for inspection work.

• M27, from 9pm June 30 to 6am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5, exit slip road closure for white lining works, diversion via National Highways Network.

• A303, from 8pm July 3 to 6am July 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 eastbound, Picket Twenty to Bullington, carriageway closure for resurfacing work.

• M27, from 8pm July 3 to 6am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M271 northbound, junction 3 to Romsey Road Roundabout, carriageway closure for electrical work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
