DELAYS on the M3 have left traffic 'crawling' through Hartley Wintney.

National Highways have reported delays of "Over 30 minutes" Eastbound on the M3 between Junctions Six and Five due to "ongoing roadworks".

The scheduled maintenance is due to continue into the early hours of tomorrow morning, concluding at 6am on Monday, June 19.

On Twitter, National Highways said: "This is due to a planned full weekend closure between J5 (Hook) and J4a (Farnborough) which is ongoing until 06:00 tomorrow morning."

The organisation advised drivers to "Please allow extra journey time if travelling in the area."

One Twitter user reported that the M3 Northbound is "closed again".

Adding that traffic is "crawling through Hartley Wintney."

Drivers should expect to experience delays when travelling on the M3 this afternoon.
