Former glamour model Katie Price has announced that another one of her dogs has died after being hit by a car.

The news of the death of her German Shepherd, Blade, who was just seven months, comes after Katie lost her dog, Sharon, in the same way.

Blade, who was Katie's "best friend" and a protection dog, did not have a microchip but was wearing a brown Louis Vuitton collar, according to the Grove Lodge Veterinary Group in Sussex.

In her Instagram post, Katie revealed that she was feeling "numb" and "shocked" at Blade's death.

She said: "Worlds can’t express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade"

Grove Lodge Veterinary Group wrote on its Facebook page: "Unfortunately we have had a large shepherd dog handed into our OOH team last night.

"Found on the A24 near dial post. The dog does not have a microchip, however was wearing a brown Louis Vuitton collar."

This is not the first time that Katie has lost a pet in such conditions.

Queenie, one of Katie's dogs, was killed last year after being struck by a delivery driver, while another of her dogs, Sparkle, was run over in February of this year.

Rolo, yet another of her pets, passed away from suffocation in her home.

The news of Blade's death has prompted a petition to ban Katie from owning animals, which has now reached 30,000 signatures.

It claims that Katie does not provide her pets with adequate care, leading to the death of not just her dogs but also her horses, cats, lizards, and hedgehogs.

The petition has been active for three years but gained more than 16,000 signatures following Sharon's death.

Environmental health officers also condemned Katie's "mucky mansion" last year, saying that the animals were living in filthy conditions.

While animal rights activists have criticised the star for the death of her pets, Katie was recently photographed for OnlyFans before taking to Instagram to share the news about Blade.

Her representative, however, has not provided any statement regarding the current situation.
