A FOOTBALL club in Tadley have received a £5,000 sponsorship from a developer.

Tadley Calleva Youth FC received the sponsorship from Bewley Homes, which is based in Baughurst.

The sponsorship will help kit out 13 youth teams in the club, as well as help fund vital football equipment.

Established in 1971, Tadley Calleva Youth FC provides football for boys and girls aged five to 16 years in the local area.

The football club is a thriving organisation, offering over 300 youngsters the opportunity to train and play competitive football.

Tadley Calleva Youth FC chair Susan Ward said: “Our club relies on donations and volunteers, so the sponsorship from Bewley Homes is a very welcome contribution to support our organisation which is working hard to engage with the local youth in Tadley. We thank Bewley for its support and look forward to seeing the kit being put to good use by all the teams!

“Almost all of our junior teams are now wearing new Bewley sponsored kit and will be proudly wearing it for the forthcoming matches next season.”

Bewley Homes managing director Andrew Brooks said: “Tadley is our nearest neighbour and the football club is central to the local community and provides an important opportunity for local children not only to play football, but also learn leadership, teamwork and make friends.

“We would like to congratulate the club for a great season. We hope our contribution will help the club next season and we look forward to supporting the teams at their forthcoming matches.”
