RESIDENTS are being encouraged to audition for this year's Christmas pantomime at The Anvil.

UK Productions is looking for dancers aged 16 or over for the ensemble of The Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook, which is at the Basingstoke theatre from December 8 to 31.

Auditions are being held at The Anvil on Wednesday, June 28 at 5pm, but residents must make sure they have registered beforehand.

Auditionees will need to prepare and film a Disney song, and script which will be sent beforehand, which will be needed ahead of the audition. They will be taught a dance routine on the day, and should also be prepared to sing if asked on the day.

A high standard of both ballet and jazz is required, and ensemble dancers may be required to cover principal roles.

Rehearsals start on Friday, November 24, (two weeks of full rehearsals - no time off will be allowed) and performers must be available for the full schedule of performances.
