THE owners of a farm where a tiny baby donkey was stolen from her mother said they have not given up hope for a “positive outcome”.

As previously reported, two-month-old Moon was taken from a field at Miller’s Ark in Hook on May 15 when she was with her mother, Astra.

Elizabeth Miller, who owns Miller’s Ark, has appealed to the public for help in finding Moon, and said she is “completely devastated and incredibly concerned” for the donkey, who needs to be with her mother.

It has now been two days since Moon was taken, but Elizabeth said they have not given up hope of finding her.

She added: “We are still hoping for a positive outcome that gorgeous little Moon will be reunited with her mum Astra at Miller’s Ark.”

She thanked the public for their “incredible support” and for sharing “far and wide” the appeal to find Moon.

However, she said in the meantime “life carries on” as staff continue to care for all the other animals at Miller’s Ark.

Moon was stolen from Miller’s Ark, which opens to the public to meet and cuddle the animals, before 5pm on May 15.

Moon is described as being a red / brown colour and about the size of a Labrador, but lighter.

She was born in March and the farm fears she will not survive without her mother.

Elizabeth said Astra is “very distressed” after her baby was taken, adding: “Moon also needs her little coats on.”

Basingstoke police have appealed to the public to help find Moon, and said: “As part of our enquiries, we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or has any information that could help us locate her.

“Were you in the area? Did you see any suspicious vehicles or witness any unusual activity? Perhaps you were driving in the area and have dash-cam that might have captures something?”

Anyone with information should contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101 quoting 44230191581.
