RESIDENTS are being encouraged to book tickets for a whole host of upcoming shows at a Basingstoke theatre over the coming year.

First up, a popular Donegal-based singer will be coming to Basingstoke later this year to keep audiences entertained. Daniel O’Donnell, known for his charismatic and engaging stage presence, will return to Basingstoke on October 14.

Daniel has had a prolific career, and a hit in the UK album charts every year since 1988 - an unprecedented 35-year span.

Meanwhile, Gyles Brandreth will now be at The Anvil on October 22 rather than The Haymarket. Residents have been warned that tickets have flown out the door for this award-winning, jumper-loving raconteur, so early booking is encouraged if you don’t want to miss out on the exciting show.

Next year, Professor Brian Cox brings Horizons to The Anvil on March 7. The show will be a celebration of our civilisation, our music, art, philosophy and science; an optimistic vision of our future if we continue to explore nature with humility, and value ourselves and our fellow human beings.
