A RESTAURANT has reopened after undergoing a £1,500,000 renovation which took 14 weeks.

The Hennessy Restaurant is now ready for what promises to be a bumper flat season at Newbury Racecourse, offering hospitality to customers in a modernised space with panoramic views across the racetrack.

The restaurant first opened in 2003 and has since become the most popular hospitality suite at Newbury Racecourse.

The unveiling of the new space revealed a modernised restaurant offering a high-end hospitality experience. It was officially opened on the eve of the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials weekend.

The renovation, which has increased the restaurant’s capacity to 340 guests, offers a unique four-tier dining experience alongside the creation of new VIP booths and brand-new foyer and greeting area.

Racegoers can enjoy traditional fine dining from an a la carte menu, curated by head chef Paul Holliday, along with wine from Chapel Down’s award-winning range of sparkling and still wines.

The Hennessy’s sample menu includes starters of ham hock and parsley terrine or kiln smoked sea trout.

Mains include Surrey-farmed roasted contra fillet or free range corn fed chicken breast.
