RESIDENTS have been warned that carriageway resurfacing works will take place near Hook in a bid to help improve Hampshire roads.

The work is to be done on Mill Lane and is part of Operation Resilience, which is Hampshire County Council’s long-term strategy to make Hampshire's roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic.

The work will take place on Tuesday, May 16 and is expected to last for four days.

Work will be carried out under a road closure between 8am and 4pm with a signed diversion route in place.

The road will be reopened outside each working shift.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained wherever possible during the works. Pedestrian access will always be available.

There may be times when works have to be postponed at short notice, for example, based on the weather forecast. Any significant changes to the scheduled work dates will be made clear on the yellow signboards located on site.
