THE Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council elections have come to an end with Conservatives losing three seats but still remaining the biggest party.

Basingstoke's Labour group gained one seat, while the Lib Dems gained two seats.

The Basingstoke and Deane Independents group held all their seats but gained none.

This means there is now no current majority.

The new makeup of the council is now Conservative 23, Labour 10, Lib Dems 9, Basingstoke and Deane Independents 8, Independent 3 and Green 1.
