THE level crossing in Bramley has broken for a second time in two days, with busses cancelled due to the fault.
Basingstoke Rural Police on Twitter advised people to “avoid the area” on Wednesday, April 19, at around 8.30pm after the level crossing ‘failed’.
Network Rail and British Transport Police were made aware, and the issue was fixed shortly before 10pm.
However, AA Traffic news has now reported that the crossing on Sherfield Road has failed again on Thursday, April 20.
It said: “Railroad crossing failure on Sherfield Road both ways at The Bramley Station. Reported the barriers are stuck down. Traffic is coping well.”
Stagecoach South has said that its 14 service is currently unable to serve Sherfield on Loddon and Chineham, along with Tadley outbound and inbound.
Network Rail has been contacted for more information.
