ENGLAND and Chelsea football legend John Terry is coming to Basingstoke, with the most expensive tickets costing £5,000.

The 42-year-old, who formerly captained both club and country, will hold a Q&A and dine with fans at the Hampshire Court Hotel in Chineham.

Fans on social media poked fun at the rather high pricing, one Facebook user, Craig Flockton said: "Are you really charging £100 to get an autograph?"

The most expensive ticket is a £5,000 sponsorship package that will provide early entry, a table for 10, a private two-course dinner with John Terry himself as well as photo opportunities and marketing.

Other packages include the gold and platinum packages, which are £100 and £300 per person, which also include various perks, whilst general admission is £25 which doesn't include food and will see a later arrival of 7.45pm.

Other Facebook users continued to jest about the event, including Ian Pearce, who said: "Will he change into his kit for the commemorative photos at the end?" in reference to Terry lifting the 2012 Champions League trophy in his full kit despite not playing the match.

Stephen Enfield made light of Terry's falling out with his former Chelsea teammate, he asked: "Is Wayne Bridge coming too?"

The event will give fans the opportunity to meet the Aston Villa legend, and even get photographs and have him sign an item.

Question and answer sessions will take place, allowing fans to get the gossip from their hero, whilst a raffle and auction are scheduled for the evening and those who book the premium packages will be provided with dinner.

The event is being held by Knock Out Memorabilia and is due to take place at the Hampshire Court Hotel on Friday, September 8, with tickets available to purchase at tickettailor.com
