POLICE seized a car for causing obstruction and having no insurance after they responded to an unauthorised car meet up in Basingstoke on Sunday evening, March 26.

According to police, they attended the “very large” car meet outside Tesco in Chineham following reports.

Police said there were approximately 200 cars and at least 400 spectators.

The cars and the spectators quickly started dispersing on officers’ arrival and soon “headed out of Basingstoke”, police added.
