Beaconsfield Town maintained their recent good form with a 3-0 win over relegation-haunted Hartley Wintney.

The Rams started strongly and should have gone ahead on three minutes. Elliott Buchanan got the benefit of a good break of the ball leaving him a clear shot on goal from close range which he sent wide. The visitors continued to press and two minutes later Buchanan set up Nathan Minhas who saw his shot bring out a good save from Marcin Brzozowski in the Hartley goal.

Hartley came into the match and on 19 minutes Anis Nuur found space and his parting shot brought out a good save from Rams goalie Kie Plumley.

Beaconsfield made a bright start to the second period. On 55 minutes they went ahead. A corner on the right found its way to Elliott Buchanan who blasted his shot into the roof of the net. (0-1)

Hartley responded well and had their best phase of the match. Archy Taylor and Harry Cooksley combined on 58 minutes and the final shot from the latter brought out a good save from Plumley in the Rams goal.

Two minutes later Hartley should have scored when a low corner from Reece Wylie eluded everyone and went wide of the goal. On 66 minutes Zidan Akers made good progress down the left and his low cross found Reece Wylie who directed his effort wide.

Beaconsfield extended their lead on 69 minutes. Lewis Pegg found space down the right and held up play before finding Nathan Minhas who curled a shot into the corner of the net (0-2).

The Rams created another chance when Sam Granville found space on the edge of the Hartley penalty area and his drive brought out a good save from Brzozowski.

On 76 minutes the Rams put the match out of Hartley’s reach. Good hold up play from Buchanan enabled him to set up Dan Bradshaw whose accurate shot found the corner of the net. (0-3)

As in a number of the recent matches Hartley showed good enterprise and decent performance.

However, they struggle to score when they are on top. Hartley are currently bottom of the league.
