A 26-YEAR-MAN suffered serious injuries after five armed men with knives assaulted him in a parked car in Basingstoke on Friday night (January 20).

The incident happened in Blackmoor Drive at around 9.20pm.

According to police, the injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

The victim's phone and car keys were stolen.

The suspects left prior to police arrival but it is believed they left toward Aldermaston Road.

Police said officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now asking the public for any information that may help their investigation.

They are interested to hear from anyone who has CCTV, ring doorbell, or dashcam footage that could be of assistance.
