North Warnborough were away to Wey Valley of the Aldershot League in the third round of the Hampshire Saturday Vase Cup, writes Tony Spencer, and they left it late to get a result.

Despite dominating play, Warnborough failed to take their chances, and were goalless at half-time. 

It took  65 minutes before the game had a goal, delivered by a Wey Valley counter attack. On 80 mins, Luke Ratcliff’s own goal handed the hosts a 2-0 lead and it seemed the game was over.

That was until Warnborough’s Dillon Donelly scored a free kick on 89 minutes, 2-1.

That goal fired Warnborough into an injury-time frenzy, Donelly hit the target again, heading in Oliver Bridle’s free kick, 2-2.

Very late into stoppage time, a team effort led to the third goal, starting with a throw from Donelly to Dan Burnett.

He flicked onto Max Ashby who set up Liam Self to bury the winner with the very last kick of the game, resulting in mad celebrations. 

Silchester Village saw off visitors Liphook United Social with a 7-2 triumph. Daniel Vickers scored four goals, Thomas Etheridge, Ian Jones and Mario Nurse scored one apiece.

A pair of braces, from Callum Parkin and Ben Synan, eased CK Andover into the fourth round with a 4-1 win over Shanklin Reserves (IoW).

Tadley Calleva A won 2-1 against Bournemouth Electric Reserves with Lewis Sopp and sub Liam Belcher doing the damage.

Odiham United lost 3-0 away at Mob Albion.

The Mid-Solent league team are one to beat in the tournament, with a 10-game unbeaten run under their belts.

Overton United Reserves surrendered a home walkover to Bournemouth Electric of the Dorset League.

Basing United beat CK Andover Reserves 2-5 to go top of Division 2, despite strikes for Luke Borley and Mustafa Gozlugol for CK.
