A POPULAR pub in Basingstoke is due to re-open following a major six-figure refurbishment.

The Hatch, located in Old Basing, will reopen on Monday, December 5 after it temporarily shut its doors for refurbishment in November.

Part of the Chief and Brewer Collection, the interior of the pub has been completely transformed, with significant improvement to the garden area scheduled to take place next year.

Internally the pub has had a complete makeover, including new flooring, a new colour scheme and new furniture and furnishings throughout, giving the site a modernised look and feel.

The pub layout has also seen some changes, with the dog-friendly bar area extended to allow more space for guests looking to enjoy their favourite drink.

The overall capacity of the pub has also been increased.

Following the completion of the renovations, the pub team has also expanded, including front of house, kitchen and management.

General manager of The Hatch Kristie Hyde said: “We are delighted with how the refurbishments have turned out and we are excited to welcome back our guests to enjoy premium food and drink in an equally premium setting.
