WE are delighted to offer you the chance to win tickets to see Cinderella, this year’s Gazette-sponsored pantomime at The Anvil.

Cinderella is at The Anvil from Friday, December 9, and is filled with everything you want from a pantomime - larger-than-life characters, side-splitting comedy, lavish costumes and spectacular scenery.

This year's festive show will tell the story of poor Cinderella who works hard day and night while her spiteful sisters do nothing. But when she meets her Fairy Godmother, her life starts to change in all sorts of wonderful ways.

With laugh-out-loud jokes, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes, and two gorgeous Shetland ponies, residents are invited to join Cinders and make their dreams come true at The Anvil.

The magical cast sees some famous and well-loved faces come together including the lovely Debbie McGee. She is best known for working with her husband, the late Paul Daniels, in the longest-running TV magic show in the world The Paul Daniels Magic Show, and, in 2017, reaching the final in the hit BBC 1 show Strictly Come Dancing, partnering Giovanni Pernice.

She said "I am the fairy godmother and what I love the most is that my character really does bring all the magic to the story.

"What I love about playing this role is that I make Cinderella's dreams come true."

Debbie will be joined by Basil Brush’s and children's favourite Mr Stephen Chris Pizzey. He returns to the stage, after appearing in last year's Beauty and the Beast bringing his energetic fun to the stage.

Playing Cinderella is Rachel Grundy who said she has done lots of Panto. She is particularly looking forward to playing the famous character.

She added: "I think I have made my mum's dreams come true by playing this role. I am really excited to perform the transformation scene where I get to put on a beautiful ball gown and go to the ball."
