The Neighbourhood Plan was drawn up by local people and adopted by the council after 92.6 per cent of those residents who voted were in favour of the Plan.

The plan now forms part of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s development plan for the parish and will be used when considering planning applications.

Cllr Miller said: “My congratulations to everyone in the parish of Ashford Hill with Headley who has been involved in the process to bring this Neighbourhood Plan to fruition.

“A great deal of hard work has been undertaken by the local community in order to get the plan made.

“Neighbourhood planning allows local people to have a real input into decisions about the future development of their communities.”
