Visitors can book timed ticket entry between 4.30pm and 8pm, with bookings now open to see the extraordinary light display.

The display, set amongst West Green’s 10-acre gardens, includes a forest of illuminated field flowers and enormous lit water lilies floating on its lakes.

With five bridges transformed into tunnels of lights and the garden’s classical follies beautifully lit, visitors can expect to be wowed by the magical festive display.

Warming drinks, hot food and treats can also be purchased during the event along the trail.

Tickets for the illuminated trail can be pre-booked on every half hour, costing £19 for adults and £15 for children during off-peak times and £22 for adults and £18 for children during peak times.

Disabled carers and children under three-years-old are free.

West Green House has a host of other Christmas-themed events planned for the festive period, including wreath-making workshops and a family pantomime.

Marylyn Abbott, the owner of West Green House, said: "West Green House is known for its magical opera season on the lake, and its team of lighting and set designers create a theatrical fairytale fantasy in our garden each Christmas.

"Beside the lit classical follies, the giant flowers and mythical creatures, we take inspiration from this year’s pantomime, The tales of little Aladdin. Pass the giant genie on the way to the 18th century orangery where Window Twanky and the elves have their laundry. It’s a fun and delightful evening for all the family."
