A HAMPSHIRE man has been fined hundreds of pounds after being in possession of a weapon containing a noxious liquid.
William Boswell, from Farnborough, had in his possession a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of a noxious liquid, namely a gas, namely CS Spray on January 1 in Basingstoke.
The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
Magistrates fined Boswell £120 and ordered the spray to be destroyed.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85.
MAGISTRATES have handed a Basingstoke woman a fine after she assaulted a police officer.
Natalie Bassett, of Culver Road, assaulted police officer Michael Bearman on Saturday, May 7.
The previous day, the 32-year-old, also assaulted another woman in Basingstoke.
Magistrates fined Bassett £140 and ordered her to pay a compensation fee of £50.
A HAMPSHIRE man has been put behind bars after driving a vehicle while disqualified.
Nicholas Bushby, from Alton, drove a vehicle on Ringway North in Basingstoke while he was disqualified from doing so on Wednesday, October 12. Police officers also found that he had no insurance.
The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
Magistrates jailed him for eight weeks and disqualified him from getting behind the wheel for 756 days.
A DRUNK driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel.
On Sunday, October 23, Craig Walford from Fleet, drove a BMW 1 Series on the M3 in Basingstoke with 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 18 months and ordered him to pay a fine of £600.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £240.
A BASINGSTOKE resident has been given a 16-week suspended prison sentence after being in possession of a weapon and drugs.
Albertas Seskevicius, of Freemantle Close, on July 23 had in his possession a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of a noxious liquid, namely CS incapacitant.
On the same date, the 26-year-old also had in his possession 19 Pink tablets of MDMA a controlled drug of Class A.
He pleaded guilty to the offences during a hearing at the Basingstoke Magistrates' Court. They were given a 16-week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Magistrates ordered the items to be destroyed.
They were also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £154
A MAN from Basingstoke has been ordered to take part in rehabilitation activities after sending offensive messages.
Jamie Lucas, of Bernstein Road, sent by means of a public electronic communications network a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character on Monday, July 25.
The 31-year-old also failed without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Basingstoke magistrates' Court having been released on bail in criminal proceedings,
He was fined £166 for failing to meet his bail condition and £500 for the messages.
Magistrates also ordered him to ordered to take part in rehabilitation activity and pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £114.
He pleaded guilty to all offences during a hearing at the Basingstoke Magistrates' Court
