Republic of Chineham won their fourth win in a row at City of Southampton side AFC Hythe 2-6 in the Hampshire Sunday Trophy, writes Tony Spencer, after leading 0-3 at the interval.

Westside Athletic won 1-28 at AFC Ramsdell, whose sole goal was netted by Bradley Harper. The match was described as a fabulous game in which both teams played their part. Tadley Town lost their tie 4-1 away at in-form Bournemouth side AFC Burton, who have won eight of their nine matches this season.

Herriard Sports scored five goals in each half to ease through to the third round of the Hampshire Sunday Vase with a 2-10 win at Aldershot Rangers. Chris Newlove opened the scoring with two quick goals, Sam Weber added the third, Stephen Bean and substitute Stephen Wood scored before the break. In the second half, Herriard conceded twice but Bean scored five more to give him a double hat-trick, extending Herriard’s run to five wins in a row.

Hartley Sunday beat Andover side Fulflood United 3-0 at home after a goalless first half. Matthew Lewis opened the scoring on 55 mins, Ryan Powell doubled the lead on 65 mins and Leuan Atkinson secured victory with 15 mins left, their third victory in a row.

North Warnborough The Anchor were awarded a home win against Fareham side Crofton Saints Reserves.

AFC Berg lost 7-0 at Barleycorn of Division 5 City of Southampton League, who are current Division 8 champions and only lost once this season.

Cranbourne Rangers also had a tough tie away to Bourne FC from Bournemouth. A very young Cranbourne team of 19-year-olds were taught a harsh lesson, going 6-0 down at half-time, heard a manager point out a few home truths at the break and thereafter kept the score down to finish 9-0. The Cranbourne keeper kept the game below double figures with some outstanding saves, both from distance and close range. Bourne have won seven of their nine games this year.

Oakridge B started slow at Duke of Connaught’s Own Club Fareham and allowed the home team an early opportunity to score 1-0. Oakridge B got into the game, created chances,, and a cross led to shot on target but a home player hand-balled on the line, giving Oakridge a penalty. Unfortunately, the penalty wasn’t converted but another cross from Ben Owen found Ruben Monteiro at the back post to net the equaliser, 1-1. The home team scored another goal in the second half, 2-1, and held on to the end.

Stratton Park Rangers lost 7-1 away at lively City of Southampton side South Coast, who have lost only two of their eight games this season.

Bramley United narrowly lost 2-3 to visitors Wolversdene in the Andover Presidents Cup.

New Park Rangers won 0-3 at Hampshire Irons in the Kelvin Cup quarter-finals. This result ended a run of five wins for Irons and was Rangers’ second win over Irons in three matches this season.

In their tie, Tidworth Town knocked out hosts South Wonston Swifts 0-5.

Wellington won their Bernard Cornish Cup games at Ambient 1-2, ending the hosts run of four wins, thanks to strikes from Oliver Luttrell and Mitchell Wiles. Mark West netted in reply for Ambient.

Overton United knocked out Brookvale United with 5 goals without reply, their third clean sheet this year.

Republic of Chineham Reserves chalked up their sixth win in a row with a 6-1 victory over Newchester.

A Tyler Anton goal for Farnham Spitfires secured their third win in a row as they beat Sherborne St John 0-1 away, ending their hosts’ run of three wins.

New Park Rangers Reserves led 0-1 at the interval in their Division 2 match at leaders White Ash Rovers and went on to win 0-3, their fifth win in a row, thanks to goals from Dan Bloma, Cian Condon and Tiago Andre Lopes Moreno. This ended a run of four wins for White Ash.

Basingstoke Casuals beat Soldiers Return 0-6 in Division 3, with Ali Nije’s brace, Joe Oates, Blaze Stafford, Sam Waters and sub Christopher Hyde.

A fifteen goal-fest resulted in Hampshire Royals edging it 7-8 at The Oak FC having led 3-5 at half-time.

In Division 4 Basingstoke Boars engineered a 1-3 win against AFC Popley, in unseasonably warm and sunny November weather. Boars were ahead after 15 minutes, Ant Peet fed Lee Cobern through a congested midfield, beating a man before playing in Liam Harris, who slotted coolly past the keeper, 0-1. Boars continued to play well but a free kick on the edge of the area was scored by Thomas Bartlett for Popley, who had disappointed until then, 1-1 at half-time. In the second half Boars led again on 65 mins with a superb volley from Cobern from the edge of the area.

Popley had a header which hit the bar but Boars dominated possession and, in the dying minutes, tidy midfield play was rewarded as Eldred on the wing beat his man, his cross struck and saved by the keeper, only for Sam Koidis to follow up for the third.
