ANOTHER dessert parlour is opening in Basingstoke town centre this autumn specialising in Italian gelato, waffles, crepes, sorbets and sundaes.

The G Factory will open in Festival Place offering 30 different gelato and fruity sorbet flavours that change with the seasons, including chocolate and lime, dark chocolate and cherry, tiramisu, and dragon fruit.

Vegan flavours include cherry, Lotus Biscoff and pistachio.

The dessert parlour will also offer artisan desserts such as warm cookie dough, butterscotch strawberry crepes, mango and coconut waffles and Lotus Biscoff Sundae as well as specially roasted coffee, milkshakes and smoothies.

Created by Giuseppe Trivigno and pastry chef, chocolatier and award-winning ice cream specialist Chris Zammit, The G Factory was established in Tonbridge, Kent, and the Festival Place restaurant will be the company’s first franchise.

Designed to be stylish and modern, the parlour will offer a fun family vibe and offer try-before-you-buy for customers struggling to choose which flavour.

Founder Guiseppe said: “We are very proud to launch our venture at Festival Place which is our first at a shopping centre.

“Chris and I are excited to bring our unique artisan-made Italian Gelato, desserts and cakes to Basingstoke. We have been working hand-in-hand with our franchisee and the Festival Place team to make it a great success.”

Festival Place centre director Neil Churchill said: “We are so excited to welcome The G Factory to our already extensive list of food and drink offerings at Festival Place.

“The G Factory is sure to be a wow with our customers, who can settle down to enjoy warm cookie dough or an authentic Italian gelato very soon.”

The G Factory will open before Christmas. It is the second ice cream shop to open in Basingstoke town centre in recent months after Scooperb opened in Wote Street in August.
