A CREMATORIUM in Basingstoke is hosting a Christmas Carol Service to raise money for a charity.
Basingstoke Crematorium in Stockbridge Road is hosting the free event on Thursday, December 8, at 7pm.
There will be traditional carols accompanied by the lighting of candles and placing a star in memory of loved ones.

Carols will include Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Joy To The World, Once In Royal David’s City, and Silent Night.
Crematorium manager Jackie Bridges said: “Christmas is not only a time of reflection but also one of celebration and goodwill and it is with this in mind that we would like to welcome everyone to our Christmas Carol Service.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming everybody to come together."
Chapel attendant Keith Reynolds said: “This has become a regular event in our calendar and always a pleasure to attend, I am delighted to welcome people to come together as we approach the festive period.”

During the evening, there will be an opportunity to make a donation to local charity Sebastian’s Action Trust which supports families of seriously ill children.
