A WOMAN from Basingstoke with complex additional needs has had her Disneyland dream come true.

Debbie Cardew enjoyed the opportunity of a lifetime and spent three nights away from her home on a trip to Disneyland Paris.

Debbie, who is supported by care home Roman House, expressed her desire to visit the magical place during her key worker session.

Despite challenging travel arrangements and an out-of-date passport, Debbie worked alongside staff to ensure she didn’t miss out on such a great opportunity.

Workers at the home, Kelly Lettin and Michelle Holder, faced a number of obstacles in train and hotel cancellations, before managing to book an appropriate hotel and hire hoisting equipment, doing everything they could to ensure the trip went ahead.

The effort was greatly appreciated, especially by Debbie. Once at Disneyland Paris, Debbie began making the most of her time there, meeting magical characters and watching spectacular shows on display.

Debbie had a lovely time meeting her favourite Disney characters, with the fireworks on the last night being the highlight of the three days.
