A 37-year-old woman who was caught having sex in a public place has been given a community order.

Suzanne Byrne was caught engaging in sexual acts and intercourse with Kristoffer Mallion in St Michael’s Road on June 13.

She pleaded guilty to the offence of committing an act of outraging public decency during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrates told Byrne, of Aylings Close, to complete up to 40 rehabilitation days and pay a £95 victim surcharge.

She also admitted to a further charge of being drunk and disorderly in Basingstoke on July 29.

Mallion, of Hook, previously pleaded guilty to committing an act of outraging public decency and he was jailed for 28 weeks due to his flagrant disregard for court orders and the fact the offence was witnessed by multiple people.

He also admitted to threatening a witness on June 30. Court documents said he made repeated threats and prevented the victim from leaving.

Mallion must also pay a £156 victim surcharge and £40 court costs.

Two charges of failing to answer to court/police bail as soon as practicable were withdrawn.

A MAN has been fined for driving 6mph over the speed limit on a road in Hook.

Angus Duke was caught driving a white Vauxhall on the B3349 Griffin Way South on March 30, last year.

The 70-year-old was driving at 36mph when the limit on the road was 30mph.

Duke, of Silverdale Road, Earley, Reading, pleaded guilty on the day of trial and was fined £61. He was also hit with three points on his driving licence.

He must also pay £85 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.

A MOTORIST who was caught over the drink-drive limit has been disqualified for 18 months.

Adam Shirley, of Pinkerton Road, Basingstoke, was caught on the A339 in Alton with 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.

The offence took place on September 26 and Shirley pleaded guilty during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

The 29-year-old was also fined £415, and told to pay a £166 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

A SEX offender who failed to comply with notification requirements has been fined.

David Knott, of Alecon Link, Basingstoke, failed to register on or before January 12 having received a conditional caution and failed to pay the conditional fine within the specified timeframe.

The 61-year-old admitted to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court and was fined £80.

A DRUG dealer who was caught with cannabis in Basingstoke has been ordered to complete unpaid work.

Alex Camm, of Thyme Close, Chineham, was stopped with a quantity of cannabis on February 3, last year.

The 22-year-old admitted to possession with intent to supply during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

Camm was told to complete 130 hours of unpaid work and up to 20 rehabilitation days. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £95 victim surcharge.

Forfeiture and destruction of the drugs and any paraphernalia was ordered by magistrates.
