HOOK Village Nursery in Basingstoke continues to be a 'good' rated school after being inspected by Ofsted in September.
On September 16, Ofsted visited the nursery at Hook community centre and concluded that the school would continue to be rated 'good' following their previous inspection in December 2016.
Amongst the many positives, the Ofsted report concluded that children at the nursery know their daily routine well — which starts off by independently putting away their belongings and washing their hands. They are also motivated to learn and are learning to understand their emotions whilst respecting others.

The newly appointed leaders of the nursery were noted as committed to continual improvement. They are making several improvements already, including better involvement with parents and listening to their feedback.
However, to add to their success, Ofsted said that the nursery could consider ways to improve staff's questioning skills further to allow children sufficient time to think and formulate their answers effectively.
Overall, the children at Hook Village Nursery were described as well supported by staff to improve their existing knowledge and make good progress from their starting points.
