A neighbourhood alert was also sent out by PCSO Deborah Doherty about the incident.

She said: “We have received reports of a drone that has been flying in Wagner Close all week, invading the privacy of residents and causing harassment, alarm and distress.”

While owning a drone and using one is not illegal, PCSO Doherty said that in certain circumstances it may “contravene air safety legislation and other statutes, which could result in prosecution by police".
