A MAJOR road in Basingstoke has been reopened following a "huge collision" involving a van and a car.
The incident happened on Reading Road just after 10.30am.
One lane of A33 Reading Road northbound was closed between A339 Ringway North Roundabout and Popley Way due to the incident, according to Romanse, the traffic update account of Hampshire County Council.
There were heavy delays following the incident.

The road has now been reopened and the delays have gone.
A reader confirmed that the incident happened near the shopping centre in Chineham.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said the officers were called at 10.39am to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Reading Road, involving a car and a van.
Officers are currently on scene.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Basingstoke firefighters were called at 11.13am this morning following an RTC on Poplar Way.
"The crew were stood down by Hampshire Constabulary before they arrived."
