THREE people have been arrested in Basingstoke on suspicion of conspiracy to blackmail.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that its officers attended an address in Treetop Avenue, on the new Hounsome Fields development off Winchester Road, at 4.45am on Wednesday, September 21 and arrested three people.
A 60-year-old man from Basingstoke, a 20-year-old man from Southampton, and a 16-year-old girl from Southampton were all arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to blackmail.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “They remain in custody and our enquiries are ongoing.”
