Leo was born Gerard Hugh Sayer and grew up in Sussex. He began singing as an altar boy, which to this day he attributes to finding his voice. Whilst at art school he learnt to play the harmonica and began jamming with local bands. He started writing and soon the singer songwriter began notching up hits in the UK.

During the glam rock period he performed wearing a Pierrot costume, having first worn the costume on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1973, but later dropped the outfit to just be known as Leo Sayer.  His career and life have been turbulent, but Leo has continued to work hard and adapted through all of life’s changes.

Now living in Australia, don’t miss this opportunity to see Leo when he returns to the UK.

The Gazette has teamed up with The Anvil to give three lucky people the chance to each win a pair of tickets to see the show.
