POLICE were called to the train lines at Basingstoke following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
South Western Railway services were delayed or cancelled until around 9pm on August 30 while emergency services were on scene.
Officers attended, and the woman was taken to a place of safety.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “British Transport Police were called to Basingstoke railway station at 5.46pm on August 30 following concerns for the welfare of a woman."

A post on South Western Railway’s website last night said: “We have been informed of a trespasser on the railway in Basingstoke. Whilst our teams assist the individual to a place of safety, all lines are now blocked.
“For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
