Trains delayed or cancelled due to trespasser on the track at Basingstoke
PASSENGERS using trains along Basingstoke rail lines faced delays this evening (August 30) due to a trespasser on the track.
South Western Railway said that all train services running through the station may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
The train operator said the disruption would last until 9pm.
A post on its website said: "We have been informed of a trespasser on the railway at Basingstoke. Whilst our teams assist the individual to a place of safety, all lines are now blocked.
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
