A VAN that was driving 18mph over the speed limit has been stopped by police.

The Hampshire Roads Policing Unit said the van was clocked at 48 in a 30 in Hook and the driver then tried to avoid the police.

The vehicle had false plates, was untaxed, and had no MOT.
