STEVE Todd and Kate Street will have no trouble remembering their wedding anniversary - after all, it will only come round once every four years.

Tomorrow, Steve and Kate are among the couples who will take the step into marriage when they tie the knot on February 29.

The nuptials for the couple, who have been together four years, will take place at Basingstoke Register Office.

Kate, 43, lives with her 45-year-old fiancé, their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Izabelle and Kate's son Joshua from a previous marriage, in Kenilworth Road, Winklebury, Basingstoke.

She said: "We are really looking forward to the wedding. Everything is in place, but it's come round so quickly!

"We wanted to marry on Valentine's Day, but being a Thursday, we decided that wouldn't be so good for people, and we thought the leap year date would make it a little bit different."

The couple met when Joshua started going to a children's adventure group that was being run by Steve.

"I was home one evening on my own when Josh was with my mum, and I texted Steve to ask if he wanted to come round for a glass of wine - and he did!" recalled Kate.

While Kate has already found the man of her dreams, there will be many other women who will be plucking up the courage to pop the question tomorrow.

February 29 provides that once-every-four-years opportunity for the fairer sex to do the asking. The tradition that women may only make proposals in leap years goes back to a disputed 1288 law by Queen Margaret of Scotland, under which men who refused a proposal were fined.

Festival Place's resident stylist Chantelle Znideric and astrologer Diana Collis have teamed up to give tips on how women should dress, according to their intended's star sign, to encourage him to say "yes" tomorrow.

Diana grouped the star signs into categories of earth, fire, air and water, which stylist Chantelle then matched up with specific outfits.

For example, men with earth signs - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn - tend to look for comfortable and practical women, and so pastel and natural colours appeal to them most.

Chantelle said: "I took Diana's wording and interpreted them into fashion, style and colours. I normally get to know my clients one-to-one and find out their fashion dilemmas, so it was interesting to see it from an astrological side."
