THE theme for Basingstoke Gazette Camera Club this month was black and white photos and it generated some of the most incredible pictures.

Hundreds of members participated in the monthly theme and shared their jaw-dropping pictures.

Stunning architecture, landscapes, birds and wildlife are just some of the subjects captured by the camera club photographers this month.

While some focussed on capturing people and pets in black and white, many others tried to see the world through their black and white lenses.

It wasn’t easy to select just 18 photos from all the images posted this month, but we selected some eye-catching ones.

Sharing her photo, camera club member Anna Mikulich said Basingstoke has lots of photographic spots.

She said: “Just walk for a few blocks in any direction- and it is so easy to leave the rush of the big town behind.

“Basingstoke is surrounded by gentle hills, shady copses, and the fields stretching beyond the horizon.”

When posting the photo of his pet dog Nova burying his head down a rabbit hole at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Marcus Amillian wrote the caption as: “Hey...there’s someone down here!”

The monthly theme for September will be published in the group soon.
