A FAMILY RUN business has scooped yet another award as it continues to delight its customers with a taste of fine Italian food.

Thatcham based company Tenuta Marmorelle received notification of its latest Great Taste Award earlier this month, its 50th since it started trading in 2014.

This proved yet another huge achievement for the small Italian fine food wholesaler, which has continued to go from strength to strength at its Avon Park base.

This year’s award-winning products include date and almond panforte, gluten free penne pasta and pistachio panettone.

In addition to a one-star Great Taste award, their Pinsa-style pizza base was also given the accolade of being an Editor’s Choice in the recent Fine Food Show held in Harrogate.

Sales director, Nick Carlucci, said: "We are so proud to have received our 50th Great Taste award this year. Since we began our business in 2014 we have received recognition every year but to reach 50 awards is testament to both our suppliers for their wonderful products and our team who have sourced the very best Italian food items over the years.

"Awards from the Great Taste scheme are highly respected seals of approval– quite simply it’s the best way to get honest, straightforward and impartial feedback. Anybody buying an item with a Great Taste award will not be disappointed’.

The team at Tenuta Marmorelle say they are constantly adding to their product list, which boasts more than 400 items.

In addition to supplying farm shops, food halls, delicatessens and restaurants they also have an online store enabling them to ship directly to customers and keen home cooks alike.

Great Taste is the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme, organised by the Guild of Fine Foods.
