THE second phase of the Basingstoke and Deane business festival is scheduled to kick off next month.

The festival's second phase will begin on Tuesday, September 13.

Hosted by Evolve in collaboration with Business South and funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the festival offers five exciting free events to inform and inspire.

The second phase will kick off with a panel discussion called “Going Green”, held at Silchester farm.

This panel will discuss how business leaders can implement more sustainable practices in both their business and personal lives.

The event will be followed by a pair of development workshops on October 5 and October 18.

These workshops will cover finance and funding and how to develop change in your business.

Meanwhile, November 1 will see a panel of experienced business owners assemble at the Basingstoke College of Technology to talk about their entrepreneurial journeys.

The festival will conclude on November 10 with the Basingstoke and Deane Symposium, which offers business leaders the opportunity to meet with others in their sector to talk openly about challenges and successes, and their hopes and ambitions for the future of their sector.

“This next phase of the festival will help local companies gain the tools and skills they need to develop in the future and continue to thrive in the borough.”

The first phase of the festival took place in June and included events that drew business leaders and entrepreneurs from across the borough to learn, develop, collaborate and enjoy the company of like-minded people.

Events in the first phase included an evening with National Geographic explorer Alastair Humphreys, as well as development workshops and webinars on resilience and breathwork.

There was also a discussion on the future of the borough with Cllr Bound.
