A man was forced into the back of a car, threatened and assaulted by three men during a burglary in Church Crookham.

Officers were alerted to a disturbance outside a property in Aldershot Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A man is reported to have been threatened and assaulted by a group of three unknown men before being forcibly escorted into the rear of vehicle and driven away from the scene.

The man is then believed to have been further threatened until the trio gained access to his home, stealing a quantity of cash and a grey Audi S3.

The vehicles were then seen fleeing towards the Wyvern Pub.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward after an aggravated burglary.

"Perhaps you have dash-cam footage, mobile phone footage or Ring doorbell footage?

"Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 44220318189.

"Alternatively, you can contact independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111."
