THE last Vegan Fiesta Basingstoke of the year will take place this weekend, with plenty of stalls selling food, drink and ethical clothing.

The final event of its summer series will be held on Sunday, August 7 between 11am and 5pm at The Amphitheatre at Festival Place, next to The Angel pub.

The event, organised by Sparkle Vegan Events, is free of charge to enter and everyone is welcome.

There will be stalls selling a range of street food (American, Caribbean and Indian delicacies), yummy cakes, nut-based cheeses, refreshing drinks, ethical clothing, beautiful jewellery, handmade homeware and eco-friendly products.

Organisers say it will be a safe and friendly environment for vegans and non-vegans alike, with picnics on the grass and free giveaways including Lush products, popped snacks and even plant-based dog food.

Sarah Zeneli, from Sparkle Vegan Events, said: “The Vegan Fiesta has been running since January 2019 and has received amazing support. We have decided to take a break for the winter period and return on a special date back on the lush grass of Festival Place in 2023. Our stallholders are wonderful small businesses with delicious hot food; and brilliant homemade, artisan and plant-based goods. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our 2022 finale this Sunday!”
