FIREFIGHTERS from Hartley Wintney and Basingstoke were alerted to a large fire involving a field in Rotherwick on Friday, July 29.
An area of approximately 150m-by-50m was affected by the fire before crews worked with the landowner to stop the fire spreading, and to extinguish the blaze with hose reel jets and beaters.
Crews were called at 3.10pm and returned to station at 4.13pm.
Posting to Twitter, the Hartley Wintney team wrote: "[We] requested immediate Land Rover assistance due to local knowledge of the location.
"Stubble field well alight, crews worked hard to prevent fire spread to neighbouring properties."
